Lil Durk and Lil Baby must wait until 14 March to see whether they won the 63rd yearly Grammy Awards in their category, but on Monday (January 18) the Yammy Awards were recognized and awarded to them and two other hip-hop stars.
The Yams Day honors A$AP yams, co-founded A$AP Mob by the hiphop group A$AP Rocky, A$AP Ferg & Playboi Carti. A$AP yams are named after A$AP Yams.
The annual tribute takes place on January 18, 2015 at the age of 26, when Rodríguez dies. An hourlong documentary about A$AP Yams, a preview of A$AP Rocky music and the presentations of the Yammy award were included in this yearâ s event virtually due to the pandemic.
