Osinbajo encourages people to be committed to Nigeria's stability and peace.

On Wednesday, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo urged Nigerians to renew their commitment to the country’s unity and stability. He also urged Nigerian Muslims to view the current Ramadan fast as more than just a period of abstinence from food, drink, and worldly pleasures. According to his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Laolu Akande, the Vice-President talked to State House correspondents shortly after presiding over the Federal Executive Council’s weekly meeting at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
‘Ramadan is a time for higher virtues of compassion, kindness, and generosity, says VP Osinbajo,’ read the quote. According to Akande, Osinbajo said that Ramadan should be viewed as a time of rededication to higher ideals and virtues such as love, kindness, and generosity. “I would like to convey special greetings to our Muslim brothers and sisters who have begun the Ramadan fast,” the Vice President said, according to him.
“This isn’t just a fasting season devoid of food, drink, and worldly pleasures. “Regardless of religion or race, it is a time of rededication to the higher ideals and virtues of loyalty, compassion, generosity, and consideration for others.” “In particular for our nation, we must recommit ourselves now and in the future to the advancement of unity, brotherhood, and peace in Nigeria,” Osinbajo is said to have said about the need for unity and peace in the region.
