Police in Imo arrest ‘ESN chief priest’ and seize firearms from him.

Ikechukeu Umaefulem, the “Chief Priest” of the Eastern Security Network, the security arm of the Indigenous People of Biafra, was detained by Imo State Police Command on Tuesday. According to a statement by the command’s spokesperson, Micheal Abattam, in Owerri, the suspect was detained in the Orlu region.

A pump action gun with five rounds of live ammunition, an IED, knockouts, gun powder, a Biafran flag and other spiritual artifacts were among the materials confiscated from the suspects according to Abattam. “One of the suspects stated that they now attack police stations from spiritual homes, leading the ever-active Imo Command’s tactical teams to Ikechukeu Umaefulem’s home in Ikeduru LGA, Imo State, where he was apprehended,” the statement added.

Things such as a pump action rifle with five live cartridges, an improvised explosive device, knock-out bombs, gunpowder, a Biafran flag and other spiritual items were found during a search of his house and office.

The IPOB/ESN terror organizations killed their juju priest Paschal Okeke of Umudim Ukwu Orji Awomama in Oru East LGA of Imo State on July 25, 2021, at about 1920 hours. Upon realizing that the charms he had provided the gang over time had been ineffective in protecting them from police gunshots, they removed his head, burned his corpse, and destroyed his home.

When he’s not being interrogated, the arrested spiritualist is providing cops with valuable information that will help them find their camps and capture other members who may be hiding. There are machines in motion, and the command will begin harvesting terror groups’ remnants very soon.

In a letter to the officers, CP Abutu Yaro, fdc, thanked them for their proactiveness and advised them not to relent till the terror organisations in Imo State had been utterly neutralised.” Assured Imolites of the command’s resolve to maintaining and improving the state’s already achieved peace.”
