NABDA’s assistant director, Christopher Orji, reportedly committed suicide in Abuja.
“Orji” was found hanged from the ceiling fan of his home in Federal Housing Authority Estate, Lugbe, Abuja on August 30 at around 4pm.
59-year-old Orji’s death is still under investigation, according to sources within NABDA.
When he was found dead, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) had invited him to report to its Abuja office.
An agency employee who requested anonymity said Orji could not have committed suicide because there was no suicide note found at his residence.
After being contacted, Nkiru Amakeze, the NABDA’s Acting Head of Communications and Protocol, declined to comment on the matter at hand.
Then tell me: “What else do you want to know?” Please, I’m sorry, but I’m not able to comment,” Amakaeze told our reporter.
Orji was the coordinator of the NABDA’s Bioresource Center in Langtang, Plateau State, until his death.
