— N.O.R.E. and his Drink Champs co-host DJ EFN having been putting in work episode after  episode even though the  REVOLT series first aired in 2016.

On Sept 25 — N.O.R.E. shared a video post on his Instagram account, where he confirmed OVO sound boss has been officially booked for the show.

He said:

“C’mon Drake,” he said in the clip. “Tomorrow — Monday, Drake is on Drink Champs.

But, according to a recent HipHopDX interview, that isn’t going to happen — at least not yet. When asked if the taping with Drake took place, N.O.R.E. said, “No, we ain’t getting Drake, that was all a rumor.” We were simply listening to Drake’s music when my man in the background exclaimed, “Drake’s on Drink Champs!” And all we said was, ‘Drink Champs!

“However, he’s still in Miami. We’re still after him. We don’t mind hearing “no.” However, you never know. We’re actually in Hawaii, listening to his music, and someone posted it by chance. I took the story and ran with it because positive energy breeds positive energy.”

In April, Drink Champs teased an episode with Drake, promising to address his brief feud with the late DMX. N.O.R.E. has stated numerous times that he played a role in resolving Drake and DMX’s feud with the assistance of OVO producer Noah “40” Shebib.

“You see my face, and you know why I’m here!” he wrote. “CHAMPAGNE PAPI; but who is who?” THE OVO DRINK CHAMPS ARE LOADING. LOADING, #CertifiedLoverBoy.

“@champagnepapi x @therealnoreaga @drinkchamps #drinkchampspodcast @drinkchampspodcast @drinkchampspodcast @drinkchampspodcast @drinkchampspodcast @drinkchamp Many people are unaware that I put an end to the beef between DMX and Drake via my boy 40, but we’ll save that for Drinkchamps!!! I’ve got to give it up for Ovo 40!!! Armand and fanciness.”

DMX explained why Drake irritated him in a 2011 interview with Vibe.

“I’m not going to disrespect or yell at anyone, but the shit I’m seeing here is sad,” he said. “All we have are 106 and Park in jail. And you’re like, ‘Wow, this is the Top 10?’ I like [Nicki Minaj’s] style, but not Drake’s. Hmm…nothing to say. Drake does not appeal to me. He didn’t do anything to me.

“He is, in fact, gifted. It’s nothing personal. I’m not a fan of his work. He has some wordplay here and there, but when I see and hear him, I’m like, ‘Money, I’m not rocking’ with that.’”

Prior to his death in April 2020, X eventually let those complaints go.
